The Solution Design Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the technical architecture and presales strategy for large-scale infrastructure projects. This position demands a strong engineering background in Civil, Electrical, or Electronic disciplines combined with an in-depth understanding of government procurement processes, including PPRA regulations, G2G models, and EPC project frameworks. The successful candidate will serve as a critical link between complex client requirements and the development of actionable, technically sound solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Architecture: Develop comprehensive end-to-end solutions for Electronic Toll Collection (ETC), Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), and Optical Fiber Cable (OFC)-based surveillance systems. Ensure that designs are robust, scalable, and aligned with client needs.
Presales Leadership: Take charge of preparing detailed technical and financial proposals. This includes managing the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and drafting unsolicited proposals to support business development efforts.
Compliance & Regulation: Ensure all designs and project plans comply with relevant regulatory standards set by authorities such as the National Highway Authority (NHA), Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA), and Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). Navigate PPRA rules effectively to maintain adherence throughout project phases.
Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary technical liaison with government agencies and provincial transport departments. Facilitate clear communication and collaboration to align project objectives with stakeholder expectations.
Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire project lifecycle from conceptual design through to rollout. Focus on ensuring technical feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of solutions.
Required Qualifications
Experience: A minimum of 6 to 8 years in technical presales or solution design roles, preferably within infrastructure or Intelligent Transportation Systems sectors.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics, or a closely related field.
Technical Skills: Proven expertise in designing RFID-based vehicle identification systems and Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) technologies. Strong familiarity with EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and Government-to-Government (G2G) project models is essential. Advanced knowledge of Smart City and highway infrastructure solutions is highly desirable.
Soft Skills: Demonstrated strategic thinking capabilities, excellent negotiation skills in high-stakes environments, and the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams effectively.
