Our growing company needs a reliable, organized senior analyst to handle the analytical and finance needs of our firm as well as advice concisely on business matters that impact the firm. We are a family office that manages and allocates our own capital. We actively invest and trade in Pakistani equity markets and foreign equity markets.

We've also been involved in various property development projects, both residential and commercial, involving our own land bank or in partnership with other developers. The next frontier for our organization would be to expand into venture capital and private equity deals. We are a small team and the candidate will be involved with all levels of decision making so we are eager to find someone who fits will into our culture. We are looking for a candidate to join us who would improve our framework for understanding investment opportunities so we can analyze and execute them better. Someone who is passionate about learning enjoys collaborating in a team environment and is hard working will excel in this opportunity. 

The following provides some parts of the job. As long as the candidate has strong fundamental knowledge of finance, works well with spreadsheets and has decent communication skills - it should not intimidate the candidate that he/she has not done this before as the job itself will have a lot of training.

  • Prepare financial feasibility for various business decisions. This could be something as simple as calculating IRR on a commercial multi-year rental agreement to preparing a budget for our construction expense at a site 
  • Project management - work with different stakeholders in an organized manner so the task at hand gets done in a timely manner
  • Able to comprehend financial statements so basic information requested by management can be effectively provided 
  • Supervise the reporting and day-to-day management of various commercial properties that have been leased out 
  • Supervise the reporting of our daily portfolio report. We want to migrate our portfolio reporting from excel into an application. We will be outsourcing this job to a software company but the candidate will be required to monitor the progress. 

The following skills will be advantageous but are not mandatory:

  • Be comfortable handling and analyzing data in a spreadsheet
  • Should have strong fundamental knowledge of finance and be able to read financial statements 
  • Candidates pursuing or planning to pursue their CFA designation are preferred
  • A sound understanding of accounting and Taxation will be a plus point.
  • Must have expertise and advance knowledge about MS office especially MS Excel. 
  • The candidate must have a prior experience of 2+ years in any reputable organization.
