Sound Engineer

ABS International is seeking a talented and detail-oriented Sound Engineer with a strong background in vocal recording, processing, audio editing, and mixing. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for detail and the ability to transform raw vocal tracks into clean, balanced, and professional-quality audio. This role requires creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration with artists and production teams to deliver polished vocal mixes that meet high standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Record, edit, process, and mix vocals to professional standards.
- Perform vocal tuning, timing correction, EQ, compression, and other vocal processing techniques.
- Create clean, balanced, and polished vocal mixes that complement instrumental tracks.
- Manage audio recording sessions, ensuring proper recording levels and quality control.
- Mix vocals with music tracks while maintaining clarity and balance throughout the mix.
- Apply audio effects such as reverb, delay, saturation, and modulation appropriately.
- Identify and eliminate unwanted noise, distortion, clicks, pops, and other audio artifacts.
- Maintain consistent audio quality across multiple projects and sessions.
- Collaborate closely with artists, content creators, and production staff to achieve the desired sound.
- Organize and maintain audio files, session data, plugins, and project documentation efficiently.

Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Sound Engineer, Audio Engineer, or Mixing Engineer with a focus on vocal production.
- Strong expertise in vocal mixing and vocal processing techniques.
- Solid understanding of EQ, compression, reverb, delay, limiting, saturation, and automation.
- Proficiency with professional Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as FL Studio, Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton Live, Cubase, or similar platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of recording techniques and microphone placement for optimal vocal capture.
- Excellent attention to detail paired with a good musical ear.
- Ability to work effectively under deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A portfolio or samples of previous work demonstrating relevant skills is highly preferred.

Position Details
This is a full-time, permanent position based in Karachi, with on-site work required at the Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 13-C location. The salary offered will be competitive and commensurate with the candidate’s experience and expertise.
