VortexCommerce is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented China Sourcing Intern to join our dynamic team. Key Responsibilities
- Assist in identifying and evaluating potential suppliers in China to support procurement needs.
- Support supplier relationship management by maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Help coordinate and track purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards.
- Participate in price negotiation and cost analysis to optimize sourcing strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including logistics, quality assurance, and finance to ensure smooth supply chain operations.
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, supplier capabilities, and competitive pricing.
- Prepare and maintain accurate documentation related to sourcing activities and supplier performance.
- Assist in resolving any supply chain issues or discrepancies that arise during the procurement process.
Required Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
- Strong interest in international sourcing and supply chain operations, particularly within the Chinese market.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of procurement processes and supplier management is preferred but not mandatory.
