Trade Officer

Spark Solar Pvt Limited is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Trade Officer to oversee and manage trade operations and procedures within our organization. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field and brings between 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in trade, import/export, logistics, or procurement. This role involves coordinating shipments, ensuring compliance with import/export regulations, and maintaining effective communication with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and financial institutions. With a strong foundation in trade documentation such as letters of credit, telegraphic transfers, invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading, the Trade Officer will contribute significantly to the smooth execution of trading activities in the solar and electrical sector. This position requires superior organizational skills, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple trade functions simultaneously. Managing a team of 20 persons, the Trade Officer will also provide leadership and foster collaboration among team members to achieve operational excellence. The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, and possess strong communication skills to interact with international trade partners and internal departments effectively. Experience in handling customs clearance and shipping processes is essential to meet deadlines and ensure compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
Responsibilities

Coordinate and manage daily trade operations including import/export activities, logistics, and procurement processes.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to customs clearance, shipping procedures, and trade documentation.
Manage and verify the accuracy of trade documents such as letters of credit, telegraphic transfers, invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and airway bills.
Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, clearing agents, and banks to facilitate smooth transactions and shipments.
Lead and supervise a team of 20 trade personnel to optimize workflow, efficiency, and compliance with company policies.
Maintain accurate and organized records of all trade transactions and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
Negotiate terms and conditions with external parties including vendors and service providers to secure beneficial agreements.
Oversee timely delivery of goods and resolve any issues related to delays, discrepancies, or customs challenges.
Prepare and present regular reports on trade activities, team performance, and process improvements to higher management.
Develop and implement best practices in trade operations to enhance operational effectiveness and reduce costs.
Support coordination between multiple internal departments to streamline trade and supply chain processes.
Analyze trade data to identify trends and opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
Maintain a high level of communication proficiency in English through written correspondence and verbal exchanges.
Work effectively under pressure to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple priorities concurrently.
Apply strong problem-solving abilities to handle issues related to trade operations promptly and efficiently.
