SparkCraft Estimating is seeking an Experienced Quantity Surveyor + Estimator with at least two years of professional experience in construction estimating. This role involves preparing accurate cost estimates and quantity takeoffs based on architectural and structural drawings, ensuring detailed tender preparation, and contributing to effective project budgeting. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong proficiency with estimating and takeoff software tools and has advanced Excel skills. The position demands meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently with reliable internet access in a remote work environment. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of construction cost estimation principles, strong communication abilities in English, and the capability to meet project deadlines consistently. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it plays a crucial role in supporting project managers and contractors by delivering reliable cost data necessary for successful construction project execution.
Responsibilities

Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.
Prepare detailed bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates for construction projects.
Use estimating and takeoff software such as Bluebeam, CostX, or PlanSwift to generate precise measurement data.
Develop and maintain comprehensive tender documentation tailored to client and project requirements.
Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure cost estimates align with project budgets and timelines.
Analyze historical cost data to improve estimation accuracy and forecasting for future projects.
Ensure all cost estimates comply with industry standards and contractual obligations.
Maintain detailed records of estimation data and support audits or reviews when requested.
Monitor project costs and provide updates or adjustments to estimates as project scope changes.
Communicate effectively in written and oral form to present estimation reports and clarify data as needed.
Meet all deadlines and deliverables while working remotely, maintaining productivity with reliable internet connectivity.
