Specialist - Data Engineering

The Informatica IDMC Migration Senior Developer will play a critical role in migrating existing Informatica PowerCenter and IICS workloads to the Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC). This position involves end-to-end responsibilities including assessment, design, development, migration, testing, performance tuning, and production support of cloud-based data integration solutions. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with IDMC Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Secure Agent configuration, and taskflows, ensuring seamless migration and optimized performance of data workflows in a cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze existing Informatica PowerCenter and IICS mappings, workflows, and ETL processes to prepare for migration to IDMC.
- Execute complete migration from PowerCenter to IDMC CDI using migration utilities and manual remediation when necessary.
- Design, develop, and implement cloud-native IDMC mappings, mapping tasks, taskflows, and reusable components.
- Install and configure Secure Agents, connections, runtime environments, and security settings to support cloud integration.
- Conduct comprehensive data validation, reconciliation, and migration testing, including Unit, System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and regression testing.
- Optimize migrated jobs for improved performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot migration challenges such as workflow failures and data inconsistencies.
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT processes integrating various data sources including Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, APIs, XML, JSON, and cloud platforms.
- Collaborate closely with business analysts, architects, DBAs, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver effective migration solutions.
- Support deployment activities across development, test, UAT, and production environments.
- Prepare detailed technical documentation and migration runbooks to facilitate knowledge transfer and operational continuity.

Required Qualifications

- 5 to 8 years of experience in Informatica PowerCenter development.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Informatica IDMC/IICS Cloud Data Integration (CDI).
- Strong expertise in Informatica IDMC, Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Secure Agent, taskflows, and parameterization.
- Proficient in REST and SOAP APIs integration.
- Solid understanding of ETL and ELT concepts.
- Advanced SQL, PL/SQL, and database development skills.
- Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or other relational database management systems.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix shell scripting.
- Good knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
- Proven experience in performance tuning and providing production support for data integration solutions.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Prior experience in PowerCenter to IDMC migration projects.
- Knowledge of Informatica Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and API management.
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Certifications related to Informatica IDMC, Snowflake, Databricks, or Data Quality (CDQ) are advantageous.
