Accounts & Finance Specialist

Spectrum HCM (Pvt.) Ltd. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts & Finance Specialist to join our finance department. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, ACCA, or a related field and brings 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance. This specialist will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with Pakistani accounting standards and tax regulations. The role requires strong practical knowledge of local taxation, withholding taxes, and SECP corporate compliance. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing financial statements, managing payroll tax deductions, and coordinating with external auditors and tax consultants to guarantee the companys financial health and regulatory compliance. While this position does not involve managing a team, the specialist collaborates closely with other departments and external partners to enhance financial accuracy and efficiency. This position demands proficiency in preparing comprehensive reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and financial forecasts. The Accounts & Finance Specialist analyzes revenue, expenses, and overall profitability to provide insights that assist management in strategic financial planning. Additionally, the role involves handling account reconciliations, vendor payments, tax filings, and maintaining strict confidentiality of all financial information. Hands-on experience with tax filing procedures, accounting vouchers, journal entries, and familiarity with accounting software is essential. The accounting specialist ensures that all financial documentation adheres to the local regulatory framework, including SECP guidelines, and maintains proper records for audit readiness.
Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate company books of accounts and accounting records to reflect all financial transactions.
• Prepare accounting vouchers, journal entries, payments, receipts, and perform ledger reconciliations consistently.
• Calculate, submit, and ensure compliance with withholding tax regulations, maintaining related documentation.
• Review monthly payroll reports, verify salary calculations, and manage employee tax deductions with accuracy.
• Reconcile employee tax accounts regularly and promptly identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare detailed monthly and quarterly financial statements and management accounts to support decision-making.
• Create and update Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow, Return on Investment, and other key financial reports.
• Analyze revenue streams, expenditure patterns, profitability margins, and general financial performance.
• Assist company leadership with budgeting processes, forecasting models, and financial planning activities.
• Maintain vendor accounts, set up payment schedules, and track outstanding invoice balances diligently.
• Conduct routine bank, ledger, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency across records.
• Manage and maintain accounting and corporate records in strict adherence to SECP regulations and compliance obligations.
• Liaise effectively with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial institutions to facilitate audits and financial reviews.
• Ensure full compliance with applicable Pakistani tax laws and accounting standards, preparing required filings and reports.
• Identify financial discrepancies through analyses and recommend corrective actions to improve controls and accuracy.
• Maintain the confidentiality and integrity of all company and employee financial information, observing ethical standards.
