Speech Therapist

Bloom Academy by KVTC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join its multidisciplinary team in Karachi. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and supporting students with speech, language, communication, and related needs through individualized therapy and evidence-based interventions. This role requires close collaboration with teachers, parents, psychologists, and other therapists to enhance each student’s communication development and functional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, communication, and swallowing abilities.
- Develop and implement tailored therapy plans addressing articulation, fluency, pronunciation, receptive and expressive language, and overall communication skills.
- Monitor student progress by maintaining accurate therapy records and preparing detailed reports.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, psychologists, and fellow therapists to design and apply support strategies.
- Provide communication strategies and classroom recommendations to facilitate student participation and engagement.
- Actively participate in multidisciplinary meetings, case discussions, and progress reviews to ensure coordinated care.
- Guide parents and caregivers on techniques and strategies to support communication development at home.
- Contribute to setting individualized goals and intervention plans for each student.
- Maintain a safe, supportive, and engaging therapeutic environment conducive to learning and development.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech & Language Therapy or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in speech therapy, preferably working with children or students.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on thorough documentation.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Experience in educational or therapeutic settings involving children is an advantage.
- Willingness to work on-site in Karachi.
