Sports Short Form Video Editor

We are seeking a creative and dependable Video Editor to produce engaging short-form sports videos tailored for platforms such as Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and TikTok. The primary focus will be on Cricket content, but the ideal candidate should also be comfortable editing videos related to Wrestling, UFC/MMA, Boxing, and other major sports. This role requires a keen eye for storytelling, pacing, and audience retention to create compelling clips that capture viewers’ attention quickly and maintain consistent visual appeal across our sports channels.

Key Responsibilities

- Edit short-form sports videos, typically ranging from 30 to 60 seconds in length.
- Produce engaging content covering Cricket, UFC/MMA, Wrestling, Boxing, and other sports.
- Use strong hooks within the opening seconds to maximize viewer retention.
- Incorporate captions, transitions, sound effects, music, graphics, and relevant visuals to enhance video quality.
- Transform news updates, match highlights, statistics, opinions, and scripts into captivating videos.
- Stay updated with current social media editing trends while avoiding over-editing.
- Deliver videos promptly, especially when working on breaking sports news or trending topics.
- Maintain a consistent and recognizable visual style across all sports video content.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in short-form video editing with a strong portfolio.
- Solid understanding of pacing, storytelling, and techniques to improve audience retention.
- Basic knowledge of Cricket is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with UFC/MMA, WWE/Wrestling, Boxing, or other sports is a significant advantage.
- Ability to source suitable footage, images, and supporting visuals as needed.
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Premiere Pro, CapCut, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Strong communication skills and reliability in meeting deadlines.
