SQA Engineer ( 1-2 years Experience)

Located in PCSIR Phase 2, Lahore, this is an onsite, permanent position for a QA Engineer with 1 to 2 years of experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of both frontend and backend applications through thorough testing. This role requires collaboration with developers and product teams to deliver stable releases, utilizing both manual and automated testing approaches. Familiarity with AI tools to enhance testing efficiency is also an important aspect of this position.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct manual testing of frontend and backend features to validate functionality.
- Test REST APIs using Postman or similar tools to ensure proper integration and performance.
- Develop and maintain automated test cases using modern testing frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
- Design and execute various types of tests including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end scenarios.
- Identify, document, and track bugs clearly and accurately to facilitate timely resolution.
- Verify bug fixes and perform thorough release testing to maintain software quality.
- Collaborate closely with developers and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle to address issues and improve product quality.
- Utilize AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, or Cursor to enhance test coverage, generate test scenarios, debug issues, and accelerate QA workflows.
- Test applications across multiple browsers and devices to ensure cross-platform compatibility.

Required Qualifications

- 1 to 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.
- Solid understanding of software testing fundamentals and methodologies.
- Hands-on experience testing web applications and APIs.
- Proficiency in writing automated tests using frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar.
- Comfortable integrating AI tools into daily QA tasks to improve efficiency and coverage.
- Familiarity with essential QA and development tools including Jira for issue tracking, Postman for API testing, and Git for version control.
- Basic knowledge of SQL is advantageous for database-related testing.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
