SQA Engineer-Mid to Senior Level

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance professional with strong analytical skills and recent experience working directly with USA-based clients. The ideal candidate will have a solid manual QA background, capable of designing test cases, performing exploratory and functional testing, and collaborating effectively with domain and product teams to clarify requirements and identify ambiguities early. This role demands excellent communication skills, the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, and familiarity with modern frontend technologies to ensure thorough and intelligent testing.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze requirements and design comprehensive test cases for feature tickets.
- Conduct exploratory and functional testing to validate software quality.
- Collaborate closely with domain and product teams by asking clarifying questions and surfacing ambiguities early in the development cycle.
- Manage the defect lifecycle effectively, including clear reproduction steps, triage, and documentation.
- Perform API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Understand and work with JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks to read tickets and test intelligently.
- Utilize mocked or stubbed test data to simulate real-world scenarios.
- Execute tasks independently with minimal supervision in a fast-moving delivery environment.

Required Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Recent experience working directly with USA clients.
- Strong analytical skills with a manual QA background, including requirements analysis and test-case design.
- Proven ability to engage with domain/product teams to clarify requirements and identify ambiguities.
- Solid experience managing the defect lifecycle, including documentation and triage.
- Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman.
- Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks sufficient to understand codebases and test effectively.
- Comfortable working with mocked or stubbed test data.
- Ability to work independently and self-direct tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Information

- Experience with automation testing using Cypress is a plus.
- Familiarity with unit testing frameworks such as Jest and Vitest.
- General SDET or test automation skills layered on top of strong manual QA expertise.
- Experience converting existing end-to-end or integration tests to use mocked data.
- Exposure to fintech or data-heavy products is advantageous.
- Working hours are from 3 PM to 12 AM.
- Location: DHA Phase 8, Lahore.
