The Software Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE) is an individual contributor responsible for executing tests, validating defects, and supporting quality assurance activities across assigned projects or releases. This role operates in a dynamic, project-driven environment, requiring hands-on involvement in test execution, documentation, defect tracking, and collaboration with internal teams. The SQAE ensures quality outcomes by accurately executing tests, reporting defects promptly, validating regressions, and following established QA processes. Additionally, the role supports release readiness by completing testing activities in alignment with quality standards, compliance requirements, and delivery schedules. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential to effectively communicate with business users, technical teams, and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
- Execute test scenarios and cases across various features, modules, and releases.
- Prepare and maintain test cases, test data, and execution records.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and basic API testing.
- Identify, log, track, and retest defects with clear reproduction steps and supporting evidence.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, and Engineering teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies, QA discussions, defect triage, and release validation activities.
- Validate bug fixes and conduct regression testing to ensure system stability.
- Review requirement updates and execute testing based on assigned scope and priorities.
- Maintain comprehensive test documentation, execution status, and defect records.
- Escalate blockers, risks, and test issues promptly.
- Perform basic database validation to verify data accuracy.
- Assist in executing automated test cases when applicable.
- Validate application behavior across different builds, environments, and workflows.
- Ensure test evidence and execution records are complete and up to date.
- Adhere to QA standards, Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) practices, and delivery expectations.

Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
- Proficient in functional, regression, smoke, and sanity testing.
- Basic knowledge of API testing and database validation.
- Experience with defect logging, retesting, and regression validation.
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, or project-based delivery environments.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams during test cycles and release activities.
- Strong ownership and discipline in managing assigned testing tasks and timelines.
- Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with QA, Product, and Engineering teams.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
- Bilingual proficiency in Arabic (fluent/professional working proficiency) and English (professional working proficiency) is mandatory.

Preferred Qualifications and Additional Skills:
- Exposure to automation testing tools or automated test execution is advantageous.
- Understanding of STLC, defect lifecycle, and test execution best practices.
- Experience with test and defect management tools such as JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted QA tools for requirement analysis, test case generation, defect analysis, and QA documentation.
- ISTQB Foundation Level (CTFL) certification is a plus.
- Willingness to learn, adapt, and continuously improve testing practices.
