SQL Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled SQL Expert with extensive experience in writing complex SQL queries, managing and analyzing large databases, extracting data, and developing insightful reports. The ideal candidate will be proficient in optimizing query performance, troubleshooting database issues, and ensuring data accuracy and integrity. This role supports critical business operations and decision-making by delivering reliable data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Write, execute, and optimize complex SQL queries to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from relational databases.
- Develop and maintain SQL scripts, stored procedures, functions, views, and triggers as needed.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Analyze large datasets and generate customized reports to meet operational and management requirements.
- Identify and troubleshoot SQL query errors, database performance issues, and data discrepancies.
- Optimize query execution plans, indexing strategies, joins, and database structures to enhance performance.
- Conduct routine database maintenance, data cleanup, and integrity checks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into effective SQL solutions.
- Assist in database design, including table relationships and schema modifications when required.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of SQL queries, database processes, and reporting procedures.
- Ensure data security, confidentiality, and compliance with established database access policies.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience working extensively with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong command of complex SQL queries, including joins, subqueries, Common Table Expressions (CTEs), and window functions.
- Hands-on experience with stored procedures, views, functions, and query optimization techniques.
- Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage large datasets and deliver accurate results within tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and database reporting tools is advantageous.
- Experience with SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other relational database management systems.

Preferred Skills and Benefits

- Experience using Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) or similar database tools.
- Knowledge of database indexing, execution plans, and performance tuning methodologies.
- Familiarity with database backup, recovery processes, and access management.
- Experience integrating SQL data with business intelligence or reporting tools such as Power BI.
- Strong ability to interpret business requirements and convert them into efficient database queries.
- Competitive salary package up to Rs200,000 per month.

Candidates should be willing to work on-site in Karachi and be available for night shifts as required. This position requires in-person attendance to collaborate effectively with the team and manage database systems.
