Sr. AWS AI Engineer

Cloudelligent, an AWS Premier consulting partner and cloud-native consultancy, is seeking a Senior AWS AI Engineer to join their Islamabad team. This role operates on US Central Time hours (8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST) and focuses on developing and deploying advanced AI solutions that drive business value. The successful candidate will lead a team of AI engineers, working closely with cross-functional teams to enhance Cloudelligent’s product offerings through innovative AI technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and fine-tune pre-trained AI models customized for various industry applications.
- Utilize AWS AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Rekognition, and OpenAI to accelerate AI development and deployment.
- Employ AWS data services including Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, OpenSearch, Kendra, and AWS Glue for efficient data processing and analysis.
- Optimize AI models for performance, accuracy, and real-world applicability.
- Apply techniques to minimize AI hallucination and improve model reliability.
- Use Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods to enhance AI response quality.
- Work with vector databases like PostgreSQL with pgvector for effective similarity search and information retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into products and services.
- Engage in prompt engineering to improve model interaction and output.
- Stay current with AI advancements, adopting new tools and methodologies to maintain competitive edge.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development, with a strong emphasis on AWS AI services.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and experience with AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Extensive experience with AWS AI services including Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, and integrating Azure OpenAI into cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS data services like Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Glue, and their role in AI/ML pipelines.
- Expertise in Agentic Behavior in AI and deploying models using tools such as CrewAI, LangGraph, and Langchain.
- Experience working with vector databases and similarity search techniques for scalable AI solutions.
- Strong understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures, including CNNs, RNNs, and transformers, with proven ability to build end-to-end solutions.
- Skilled in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and large-scale model evaluation.
- Demonstrated leadership in AI/ML projects and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Amazon Connect integration alongside AWS AI services to create intelligent customer engagement solutions.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Relevant AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate, or AWS Certified AI Practitioner are highly desirable.
