Sr. AWS AI Engineer

Cloudelligent, an AWS Premier consulting partner and cloud-native consultancy based in Karachi, is seeking a Senior AWS AI Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role focuses on developing and deploying advanced artificial intelligence solutions using AWS cloud services. The successful candidate will lead a team of AI engineers, driving innovation in AI model implementation, optimization, and integration to enhance Cloudelligent’s product offerings. Working hours align with US Central Time, from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement and fine-tune pre-trained AI models tailored for various industry applications.
- Utilize AWS AI services such as AWS Bedrock, Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Rekognition, and OpenAI to accelerate development and deployment.
- Employ AWS data services including Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, OpenSearch, Kendra, and AWS Glue to manage and analyze data efficiently.
- Optimize AI models for improved performance, accuracy, and real-world applicability.
- Apply techniques to reduce AI hallucination and improve model reliability.
- Use Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) methods to enhance AI response quality.
- Work with vector databases, specifically PostgreSQL with pgvector, for efficient similarity search and information retrieval.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI capabilities seamlessly into products and services.
- Engage in prompt engineering to refine model interactions and outputs.
- Stay current with AI trends and advancements, contributing to the adoption of new tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related discipline.
- Over 5 years of hands-on experience in AI/ML development, with a strong emphasis on AWS-based AI services.
- Advanced proficiency in Python and expertise in AI/ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Extensive experience with AWS AI services, including Amazon SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, and integration of Azure OpenAI into cloud environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS data services like Amazon Athena, Amazon Redshift, and AWS Glue, and their role in AI/ML pipelines.
- Expertise in Agentic Behavior in AI and deploying models using technologies such as CrewAI, LangGraph, and Langchain.
- Experience working with vector databases and similarity search techniques for scalable AI solutions.
- Solid understanding of AI/ML algorithms and architectures including CNNs, RNNs, and transformers, with experience building end-to-end AI solutions.
- Proficiency in data preprocessing, feature engineering, and large-scale model evaluation.
- Proven leadership skills in managing AI/ML projects and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Amazon Connect integration alongside AWS AI services to create intelligent customer engagement solutions.
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Apache Spark or Hadoop.
- Knowledge of data visualization tools and techniques.
- Relevant AWS certifications are highly desirable, including AWS Certified Generative AI Developer – Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Associate, and AWS Certified AI Practitioner.
