Sr. AWS DevOps Engineer- Kubernetes Expertise

Cloudelligent, an AWS Premier Consulting Partner, is looking for a Senior AWS DevOps Engineer with strong Kubernetes expertise to join their Islamabad team. This role focuses on designing, building, and deploying sophisticated cloud environments using advanced automation tools and modern technologies. The engineer will maintain and enhance AWS cloud architecture, support infrastructure monitoring and alerting, troubleshoot issues, and develop automation solutions tailored to customer requirements. The position follows Central Time working hours (8 am to 5 pm) and requires close collaboration with both customers and internal teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and efficient cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with DevOps engineers to architect and deploy AWS cloud infrastructure that is redundant, resilient, scalable, self-sustaining, and self-healing.
- Promote infrastructure as code and automation by utilizing DevOps toolsets such as Terraform, CloudFormation, CircleCI, GitLab, Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes infrastructure, including clusters, namespaces, and deployments.
- Independently manage projects by gathering requirements from customers and stakeholders, and effectively communicate new features and enhancements.
- Develop and refine operational practices and procedures to optimize cloud infrastructure management.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices and maintain secure operational infrastructure.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior DevOps engineers and new team members.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in software/computer engineering, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, CircleCI, GitLab, or similar platforms.
- Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK, and container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, or Rancher.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet or Ansible, and container technologies like Docker or Docker-Compose.
- Scripting skills in Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, or JavaScript.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within project teams with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

- AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Professional and/or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification.
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification.
