Melbrew Coffee is looking for a Senior Barista to be a key member of our coffee bar team. This role combines hands-on coffee preparation with leadership responsibilities, making it perfect for someone who is passionate about coffee and committed to delivering exceptional quality and service. As a Senior Barista, you will craft outstanding beverages, mentor junior staff, and ensure every guest has a memorable experience at our café.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and craft specialty coffee beverages with precision, including pulling perfect espresso shots, steaming milk to the ideal texture, and creating unique drinks that delight customers. Maintain consistency and uphold the Melbrew standard of excellence throughout every shift, ensuring quality and presentation are never compromised. Mentor and support junior baristas by sharing expertise in brewing techniques, equipment handling, and café etiquette to foster a skilled and confident team. Contribute creative ideas to develop seasonal menus, new recipes, and limited-time offerings that keep the menu fresh and exciting. Oversee daily bar operations including inventory management, equipment upkeep, and maintaining strict hygiene standards to ensure a smooth workflow. Collaborate closely with the café team and management to ensure efficient service and a positive environment for both staff and guests.

Required Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a barista, preferably within a specialty or third-wave coffee environment. Deep knowledge of coffee preparation methods, including espresso, filter coffee, ristretto, and lungo. Ability to perform well under pressure, maintaining composure and quality during busy periods. Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering consistently excellent beverages and customer interactions. Proficiency in English is required for effective communication within the team and with customers. Willingness to work on-site to fully engage with the café environment and team.
