INTECH Automation Intelligence is seeking a Senior Design & Application Engineer to join a forward-thinking team focused on advancing process automation solutions across industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, Utilities, and Renewable Energy. This role involves working on innovative projects involving Integrated Control Systems, SCADA Virtualization, Wellhead Automation, and Telecommunication. The successful candidate will contribute to developing vendor-neutral, customized control, safety, and automation systems that enhance operational efficiency and reliability for diverse industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement hardware for specialized control systems, including Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), and Fire & Gas Systems (FGS).
- Ensure compliance with major industrial standards and apply conceptual understanding throughout all project phases.
- Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of industrial instrumentation, including working principles and system functionality.
- Analyze and interpret customer specifications such as Functional Requirement Specifications (FRS), Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effect Diagrams (C&Es), drawings, narratives, and philosophies to gather project requirements.
- Support industrial network architecture and cybersecurity measures, including access control, network segmentation, system hardening, and data integrity.
- Prepare, review, and maintain engineering documentation including Functional Design Specifications (FDS), FAT/SAT procedures, system manuals, and other technical documents.
- Participate in factory acceptance testing (FAT), site acceptance testing (SAT), pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, troubleshooting, system modifications, training, and final handover activities.
- Ensure all project deliverables meet client requirements, company procedures, and applicable standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field.
- 4 to 6 years of experience in Industrial Automation and Controls.
- Proven expertise in hardware design for control systems such as DCS, SIS, and FGS.
- Strong understanding of industrial standards, instrumentation, and control system principles.
- Experience with system testing, FAT, commissioning, and startup activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interpret and discuss technical information clearly.
