Sr. DevOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to design, automate, secure, and maintain the infrastructure that supports our platform. In this role, you will collaborate closely with backend and Flutter developers, as well as technical leadership, to ensure reliable deployments, high availability, robust security, effective monitoring, and scalable infrastructure as the business expands.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure across development, staging, and production environments.
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
- Containerize applications using Docker and manage orchestration with Kubernetes when applicable.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Deploy and maintain backend APIs, databases, caching systems, message brokers, and related services.
- Configure and manage load balancers, reverse proxies, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and network security components.
- Implement monitoring, centralized logging, alerting, and performance tracking solutions.
- Establish backup, disaster recovery, high availability, and business continuity procedures.
- Manage secrets, access control, SSH security, IAM policies, and secure deployment practices.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure costs, resource utilization, and application performance.
- Troubleshoot production incidents, service outages, deployment failures, and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Support scalable infrastructure for real-time ride requests, driver location updates, notifications, and trip processing.
- Implement automated rollbacks, health checks, and zero-downtime deployment strategies where feasible.
- Maintain infrastructure documentation, operational runbooks, and incident reports.
- Collaborate with developers to enhance application reliability, release quality, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ professional experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, or site reliability engineering.
- Strong Linux server administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, container management, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency with automation tools such as GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with major cloud providers like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Experience with Nginx, load balancing, DNS, networking, firewalls, and SSL/TLS management.
- Skilled in infrastructure automation using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent tools.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK/OpenSearch stack.
- Understanding of relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL), Redis, backups, and performance monitoring.
- Awareness of cloud security best practices, including least-privilege access, secrets management, and vulnerability remediation.
- Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits

- Experience deploying production mobile application backends or handling high-traffic web services.
- Familiarity with Kubernetes and Helm for container orchestration.
- Knowledge of WebSockets, message queues, event-driven architectures, and real-time application support.
- Experience with automated database backups, point-in-time recovery, and disaster recovery testing.
- Understanding of centralized secrets management tools such as HashiCorp Vault or cloud-native equivalents.
- Experience with application security scanning, container image scanning, and infrastructure security practices.
- Familiarity with autoscaling, blue-green deployments, canary releases, and infrastructure cost optimization.
- Proven ability to manage production systems with defined uptime and recovery objectives.

You will work closely with the engineering team to develop scalable infrastructure and system architecture, while introducing modern DevOps and security best practices. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience and technical expertise.

Salary Range: Rs150,000 to Rs300,000 per month
