Sr. Electrical Design Engineer (BIM Design & Review Exp)

We are looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer / BIM Modeller with 5 to 8+ years of experience specializing in electrical design and BIM coordination. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Revit MEP, delivering BIM models at LOD 400 to 500 levels, and a solid understanding of electrical engineering principles. This full-time role requires proficiency in developing detailed electrical designs, construction drawings, and coordinated BIM deliverables, ensuring seamless integration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop comprehensive electrical designs and perform engineering calculations to support project requirements.
- Create detailed Revit MEP electrical models progressing from LOD 300 to LOD 400.
- Produce construction and shop drawings alongside coordinated BIM deliverables.
- Model various electrical components including lighting, power systems, containment, panels, and equipment.
- Collaborate closely with Architectural, Structural, and MEP disciplines to ensure proper coordination of electrical systems.
- Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts using Navisworks or equivalent software tools.
- Develop and maintain LOD 500/as-built BIM models enriched with asset information for project handover.
- Perform rigorous BIM model quality assurance and quality control to comply with project BIM standards.
- Prepare detailed electrical layouts, single-line diagrams (SLDs), schedules, risers, and related documentation.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSc/BE) or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in electrical design and BIM modeling.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit MEP and AutoCAD software applications.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and construction practices.
- Proven experience delivering projects at LOD 400 and LOD 500 levels.
- Expertise in BIM coordination and clash detection processes.
- Familiarity with BIM Execution Plans, Common Data Environments (CDE), model standards, and information requirements.
- Hands-on experience with Navisworks; knowledge of Dynamo and Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) is advantageous.
- Good understanding of applicable electrical codes and standards.
