Sr. Expert Procurement Systems

The Senior Expert – Procurement Systems role at Telenor Shared Services Pakistan is a critical position responsible for the administration, configuration, development, and operation of the Coupa platform. This cloud-based spend management solution supports sourcing and purchasing services and integrates with other ERP systems globally. The role involves ensuring platform stability, data quality, and adherence to best practices while collaborating with business stakeholders, technical teams, and other platform groups. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Coupa, functional DevOps, Agile methodologies, and Source-to-Pay processes, along with a proactive approach to continuous improvement and automation opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of day-to-day Coupa platform administration, including user roles, permissions, access management, and master data maintenance to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Perform regular system housekeeping, health checks, and administrative controls to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
- Analyze change requests and configuration updates from a functional and administrative perspective, assessing impacts, dependencies, and risks.
- Recommend and implement process and platform improvements to enhance usability, efficiency, and stability.
- Provide analytics and operational insights to support platform monitoring, issue resolution, and decision-making.
- Manage high-severity incidents and complex platform issues, coordinating with Functional DevOps, integration, ERP, vendor, and technical teams.
- Support testing, release, and change management activities, ensuring minimal disruption and adherence to governance standards.
- Collaborate across business units to drive standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify and implement AI-driven automation and operational efficiency improvements within Coupa or related procurement environments.
- Ensure compliance with platform governance, lifecycle management, security, risk, and vendor management policies.

Required Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in IT, Computer Sciences, or a related field with a functional understanding of Financials or Supply Chain Management processes.
- Alternatively, a degree in Finance, CA, or ACCA with relevant ERP implementation experience is acceptable.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in ERP or procurement technology implementation, including Coupa administration, process design, system configuration, testing, change management, production support, and end-user training.
- Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay processes such as sourcing, contracting, purchasing, supplier management, and invoicing.
- Proven ability to work effectively with diverse teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
- Willingness to work during public holidays, shifts, and off-days as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Hands-on experience with AI, Generative AI, and automation technologies, preferably applied within Coupa, procurement, or enterprise application environments.
- Familiarity with Agile ways of working and relevant certifications related to Coupa or procurement technologies.
- Experience contributing as a subject matter expert in governance and operational forums, promoting standardization and harmonization across business units.

This role reports to the Head of Coupa DevOps and is based in Islamabad within the Finance & Procurement Tribe of Telenor Shared Services Pakistan.
