Sr. Golang Developer

We are seeking a skilled Senior Golang Developer with 3 to 4 years of professional experience to join our team onsite in Gujranwala. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications using Go/Golang. This role requires a strong focus on building scalable RESTful APIs and microservices, as well as developing distributed and concurrent systems. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure robust and efficient software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain backend applications using Go/Golang.
- Build scalable and reliable RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Develop and maintain distributed, concurrent systems with clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Design and optimize database schemas, queries, and data-access layers.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services effectively.
- Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and production issues promptly.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Collaborate with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, QA, and product teams. Participate in system architecture and technical design discussions.
- Implement logging, monitoring, error handling, and security best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers, providing technical guidance and support.
- Contribute to improving development processes, engineering standards, and best practices.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3 to 4 years of professional software development experience with significant expertise in Go/Golang.
- Strong knowledge of Go/Golang and its ecosystem.
- Solid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP, JSON, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB.
- Proficiency in SQL and database optimization techniques.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Good understanding of concurrency in Go, including goroutines, channels, and interfaces.
- Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD) practices.
- Familiarity with software architecture principles and design patterns.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits:
- Experience with Docker and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Ability to reliably commute to or relocate to Gujranwala before starting work is preferred.
