A UK-based company is looking for an experienced Machine Learning Engineer to join their remote team, working UK shift hours. This full-time role offers a competitive salary paid in USD and focuses on advancing computer vision and machine learning projects. The successful candidate will have a strong programming background and hands-on experience designing and optimizing machine learning algorithms. Responsibilities include building scalable pipelines and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product innovation and performance.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize machine learning algorithms primarily for computer vision tasks such as object detection, image classification, and facial recognition. Additionally, work with text processing using Large Language Models (LLMs). Build and maintain scalable machine learning pipelines that cover data preprocessing, model training, and deployment. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and infrastructure. Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and computer vision technologies. Analyze large, complex datasets to extract actionable insights that improve model accuracy and efficiency. Lead and mentor team members by defining project scopes and ensuring successful project delivery.
Required Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field. Over seven years of practical experience as a Machine Learning Engineer, with a strong focus on computer vision. At least six years of hands-on programming experience in Python. Expertise in image processing techniques, including feature extraction, advanced algorithms, linear algebra, and probability theory. Proficiency with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Solid understanding of deep learning architectures, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Transformers, and Deep Neural Networks (DNNs). Experience working with cloud-based services like AWS Lambda and SageMaker. Familiarity with development and collaboration tools such as Git, Jira, and Docker. Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (e.g., OpenAI GPT, BERT) for text analysis, natural language understanding, or document processing. Strong grasp of software development best practices, including unit testing and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
This position offers the flexibility of remote work while aligning with UK shift hours. The salary is competitive, ranging from Rs500,000 to Rs800,000 per month.
