Sr. Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in MarkLogic and NoSQL databases, particularly skilled in XML-based technologies such as XPath, XQuery, and XSLT. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, deploying, and managing MarkLogic solutions that include data ingestion, harmonization, and content transformation. This role demands close collaboration with both business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality solutions within an Agile environment. The position is based in Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, or Coimbatore and requires working from the office.

Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand functional and non-functional requirements, actively participating in client discussions to clarify needs.
- Prepare impact analysis documents to evaluate changes to existing functionalities.
- Utilize MarkLogic and other NoSQL databases for data ingestion and harmonization processes.
- Develop content management and bulk transformation solutions using XML, XPath, XQuery, and XSLT.
- Build, deploy, and manage MarkLogic projects using ML Gradle to ensure efficient CI/CD automation and environment configuration.
- Collaborate with Agile teams to deliver high-quality, unit-tested solutions adhering to development best practices.
- Work with MarkLogic tools such as MLCP, CORB, and REST APIs to support development and data processing activities.
- Implement Template Driven Extraction (TDE) views to enable metadata enrichment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance and data quality issues across MarkLogic environments.
- Provide documentation, share knowledge, and promote best practices within the MarkLogic development community.
- Engage with business and technical stakeholders to design scalable and maintainable solutions.

Required Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience working with NoSQL databases, with strong expertise in MarkLogic.
- Proficiency in XML-based languages including XPath, XQuery, and XSLT.
- Hands-on experience with MarkLogic Data Hub Framework, MLCP, CORB tools, and MarkLogic REST APIs.
- Solid technical skills in unit testing, version control, and adherence to development best practices.
- Proven experience working in Agile development environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
- Experience with MarkLogic 9 or later versions, including practical use of TDE views for metadata extraction.
- Familiarity with the insurance domain and advanced search capabilities is advantageous.
- Exposure to architectural design and performance tuning of MarkLogic clusters.
