Sr. WordPress Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of advanced WordPress websites. This role requires designing and implementing complex features while ensuring optimal site performance and managing all technical aspects of the content management system. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in PHP, WordPress core development, custom themes, and plugin creation, along with proficiency in modern front-end technologies. This position demands a proactive leader who can guide junior developers and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities
Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins that meet specific project needs. Maintain and improve existing websites with a focus on performance, security, and scalability. Take charge of architectural decisions and provide mentorship to junior developers. Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure high-quality digital experiences. Optimize website performance through improvements at both the code and server levels. Implement SEO best practices and ensure responsive design standards are met. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across various environments. Manage version control using Git, uphold code quality through peer reviews, and conduct thorough testing.

Required Qualifications
A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in WordPress development. Strong expertise in PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and jQuery. Experience working with Gutenberg, Advanced Custom Fields (ACF), WP-CLI, and REST APIs. Demonstrated ability to build custom WordPress themes and plugins from scratch. Familiarity with popular page builders such as Elementor and WPBakery is beneficial but does not replace core development skills. Solid understanding of security best practices and performance optimization techniques. Proficient in Git and experienced in managing deployment workflows. Excellent problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
