We are looking for a highly skilled Senior WordPress Developer to design, develop, maintain, and optimize high-performing WordPress websites. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in custom theme and plugin development, front-end and back-end technologies, website security, performance optimization, and third-party integrations. This role requires close collaboration with designers, project managers, developers, and other stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, responsive, and user-friendly websites that meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance WordPress websites, themes, and plugins according to project requirements. Build custom WordPress themes and plugins tailored to specific needs. Convert UI/UX designs from tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop into fully responsive WordPress sites. Customize existing themes and plugins while following WordPress coding standards and best practices. Create responsive, cross-browser-compatible web pages to ensure a seamless user experience. Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, CRM systems, and other external platforms to extend functionality. Optimize website speed, performance, accessibility, and SEO readiness to improve overall quality. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues including bugs, plugin conflicts, and errors promptly. Implement and maintain website security measures, backups, updates, and recovery procedures to protect data. Perform safe upgrades of WordPress core, PHP, plugins, and databases to keep sites current. Manage website migrations across servers, domains, and hosting providers efficiently. Work extensively with WooCommerce to develop and maintain e-commerce websites. Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure compliance with best practices and quality standards. Collaborate effectively with designers, content teams, project managers, and clients to ensure successful project delivery. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering team growth. Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed features and integrations. Continuously monitor website performance and recommend improvements. Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining high quality.
Required Qualifications
Proven experience as a Senior WordPress Developer or similar role with a strong portfolio of custom themes and plugins. Proficiency in front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and jQuery. Expertise in PHP and MySQL for WordPress development and customization. Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility. Familiarity with website security best practices and performance optimization techniques. Hands-on experience integrating third-party APIs and payment gateways. Knowledge of WooCommerce and e-commerce website development. Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues and resolve them efficiently. Strong understanding of WordPress coding standards and development workflows. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams. Experience mentoring junior developers and conducting code reviews. Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
Compensation and Work Location
This is an in-person position offering a competitive monthly salary ranging from Rs150,000 to Rs200,000. Candidates must be willing to work onsite.
