Staff Accountant

The InReach division, formerly known under brands like LegalSpan, BankersED, CPAlearn, and Manexa, specializes in providing online continuing professional education solutions. We are currently seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team and maintain accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with the finance team to prepare and analyze financial reports, manage month-end processes, and perform reconciliations and journal entries. Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics Finance and Operations (F&O) is essential, along with a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Key Responsibilities

- Record daily financial transactions and complete postings within Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
- Prepare bank reconciliations and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain prepaid expense schedules and post related journal entries.
- Reconcile Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) subledgers to the General Ledger.
- Update and post monthly and quarterly expense and income accruals.
- Manage fixed assets and lease schedules, including monthly journal entries.
- Calculate and prepare monthly sales commissions accruals and payouts.
- Resolve inter-company variances and discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations along with supporting documentation.
- Assist with variance analysis and provide commentary on financial results.
- Support quarterly disclosure reporting and related templates.
- Ensure all financial records comply with IFRS and meet internal and external deadlines.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accounting efficiency and effectiveness.
- Undertake special projects and perform ad hoc financial analyses as required.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role.
- Finalist or part-qualified professional accountant, or a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration.
- Proficient in handling multi-currency transactions.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables for data analysis.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work onsite during the shift hours of 3:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
