Staff Accountant

We are looking for a meticulous accounting professional to manage and maintain clients’ financial records using QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Xero. This role involves accurately recording bank and credit card transactions, performing reconciliations, managing Canadian personal tax filings, and preparing government remittances such as GST/HST. The successful candidate will also draft client correspondence including emails, letters, and memos. Key Responsibilities
Maintain clients’ books of accounts by accurately recording bank and credit card transactions across QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, and Xero. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. Manage Canadian personal tax filings and related documentation with attention to detail and compliance. Calculate and prepare GST/HST and other government remittances in accordance with regulatory requirements. Prepare professional client correspondence, including emails, letters, and memos, to support clear communication and reporting.

Required Qualifications
Candidates should possess formal accounting education such as ACCA, CIMA, ICMA Finalist, BBA/MBA in Accounting & Finance, M.Com, or an equivalent qualification. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles is required to ensure familiarity with financial processes and software.
