Position: Senior Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated Senior Staff Accountant with 4 to 6 years of experience in accounting and bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong practical knowledge of accounting systems and a thorough understanding of financial processes, reporting, and compliance. This role plays a vital part in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Record Management: Accurately maintain and record daily financial transactions in accounting systems. Ensure all financial data is properly documented and verified.
- Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and summaries. Analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Account Reconciliation: Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and reconcile general ledger accounts. Identify and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Manage invoicing, payments, and collections. Ensure timely processing and monitoring of receivables and payables.
- Budgeting & Forecasting Support: Support budget preparation, track expenses, and assist in financial forecasting activities alongside the finance team.
- Audit Support: Provide necessary documentation and assistance during internal and external audits. Help address audit observations and implement corrective measures.
- Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations.
- Record Maintenance: Maintain organized financial records, ensuring proper documentation, retention, and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams including finance, operations, and management to support financial decision-making and resolve queries.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in accounting and bookkeeping
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, and other ERP systems
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and financial tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to meet deadlines and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as ACCA, CA (Inter/Finalist), or ICMA are preferred but not mandatory
