10Pearls, a recognized leader in digital innovation known for its outstanding tech culture and commitment to diversity, is seeking a Staff/Senior Software Consultant with strong expertise in observability, distributed systems, and cloud-native environments. In this role, you will work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to design and enhance monitoring, logging, and tracing solutions that boost system reliability, performance, and scalability. You will have the opportunity to engage with a diverse client base, including Global 1000 enterprises and fast-growing startups, playing a key role in their digital transformation and modernization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and stakeholders to understand enterprise architecture, monitoring requirements, and performance goals.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, diagnose system issues, and proactively recommend optimizations.
- Develop and implement observability frameworks, tools, and processes for comprehensive monitoring, logging, and tracing of applications and systems.
- Ensure infrastructure and deployment environments are reliable, scalable, and highly available.
- Implement and manage monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, DataDog, Splunk, ELK, or Sentry to gain actionable insights into system health and performance.
- Deliver timely and accurate reports on application performance, highlighting trends and critical insights.
- Partner with digital squads to drive performance improvements through code optimization and infrastructure tuning.
- Provide guidance and training on application performance monitoring (APM) best practices to internal teams and end-users.
- Recommend appropriate monitoring systems, logging frameworks, and distributed tracing platforms aligned with enterprise needs.
- Manage and report on key KPI metrics across enterprise architecture, conducting trend analysis to inform decision-making.
- Establish proactive monitoring frameworks covering infrastructure and digital experience monitoring domains.
- Lead problem detection, isolation, and root cause analysis during incident management using data from observability tools.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT infrastructure and application environments.
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with observability practices and continuous integration processes.
- At least 2 years of programming experience in Java or related technologies.
- Strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly Microsoft Azure, and cluster management tools such as Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of application performance metrics, monitoring strategies, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to align technical decisions across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
