This role involves managing, organizing, and maintaining inventory, supplies, and stock within storerooms and other storage facilities. The position requires ensuring accurate receipt, proper storage, and timely issuance of materials while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The candidate will work closely with purchasing and other departments to support smooth warehouse operations and inventory control.
Key Responsibilities
Receiving & Inspection: Unload incoming goods, count and inspect items, and verify them against delivery notes, invoices, or purchase orders to ensure accuracy.
Stock Organization: Properly label items and store them in designated areas, utilizing methods to manage expiration dates effectively.
Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels in real time using spreadsheets or inventory management software, and accurately record Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs).
Issuing & Dispatch: Pick, pack, and release materials only upon receiving approved requests or indents from relevant departments.
Auditing & Reordering: Perform regular physical stock counts, reconcile any discrepancies, and alert the purchasing team when inventory levels are low.
Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and hazard-free storage environment by adhering to proper material handling and safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
Education: A degree or diploma in commerce or materials management is essential.
Experience: 1 to 2 years of practical experience in storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse operations is required.
Technical Skills: Basic computer proficiency, including knowledge of MS Excel and ERP software, is necessary.
Physical Ability: Candidates must have the stamina to stand, walk, and regularly lift or move materials as part of daily tasks.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs40,000 to Rs50,000. The work is conducted on-site at the company’s office location.
