The role involves overseeing the operations of various stores including General Store, Food Store, Beverage Store, Linen, and Merchandizing Stores, ensuring they are well-organized, clean, and efficiently managed. The position requires close coordination with different departments to maintain accurate inventory records and support smooth stock management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Porter with unloading deliveries and ensure items are sent to their respective stores.
- Record daily issues and receipts accurately in bin cards and the computer system.
- Maintain organized records by assigning proper serial numbers to all items.
- Ensure proper arrangement and orientation of items in the grocery and general stores.
- Prepare daily market purchase lists and update the cost controller on current stock levels across stores.
- Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum par stock levels, informing the cost office of any required adjustments.
- Alert the cost controller about slow-moving inventory items in the stores.
- Provide early notifications to the cost controller regarding items approaching expiry.
- Report any short supply issues to the cost office and purchase manager promptly.
- Schedule and oversee regular fumigation processes to maintain store hygiene.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support store operations.
Required Qualifications:
- 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in store management or inventory control.
- Academic background including HSSC, FA, or Graduation.
Competencies:
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Effective coordination and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with internal audit procedures.
- Proficiency in working with ERP systems.
- Basic accounting knowledge.
- Excellent record-keeping skills.
