The position is responsible for ensuring the field level implementation of project activities according to operational plans and as per the budget.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Community mobilization at the field level
  • To conduct WASH and Cash Assistance assessment on the targeted area
  • To identify vulnerable families so that they can be financially supported.
  • To Identify flood-affected families with a high number of adolescent girls to provide them with a Dignity Kit.
  • To complete record keeping of survey forms and submitted the assessment forms.
  • Reporting of program activities to the supervisor
  • Facilitating activities that build the capacity of the community
  • Providing statistical data, reports and planning information to the Region for internal and external dissemination
  • Working in collaboration with regional staff to develop capacity building partnerships in flood-affected districts
  • Coordinate with the government department/s and communities for relief activities
  • Ensure regular field visits and high quality timely production of all deliverables
  • Distribution and positioning of IEC materials
  • Follow and ensure that gender, protection, local culture, and other important cross-cutting concerns are considered in program implementation, and reporting.
  • Together with communities, ensure mobilization of the disaster affected communities as appropriate for participation in planning, construction, operation and maintenance of WASH facilities and services.
  • Any other relevant task assigned by the supervisor

Other:

  • Adhere to SPO policies and promote participatory culture and demonstrate SPO’s values
  • Participate in professional development training as identified and approved by SPO
  • Carry out any other activities as assigned by the supervisor.
