Structural CAD Drafting & BIM Modeling Specialist - TJ / 1893600

Our client, Jersey Precast, is seeking a skilled Structural CAD Drafting and BIM Modeling Specialist based in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in structural CAD drafting, particularly with precast concrete and reinforced cement concrete (RCC) components. This role involves preparing detailed drawings, rebar detailing, and developing coordinated BIM models to support various structural projects including bridge decks, marine structures, pile caps, and box beams. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla Structures, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Create detailed structural CAD drawings for precast concrete and RCC components such as bridge decks, marine structures, pile caps, and box beams using AutoCAD.
- Prepare and develop accurate structural rebar detailing and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) to support construction requirements.
- Develop coordinated BIM models using Revit for structural and precast concrete elements, ensuring alignment with structural drawings.
- Utilize Tekla Structures to build precise 3D models and generate detailed drawings that reflect design specifications and construction needs.
- Independently read, interpret, and verify structural drawings to maintain accuracy and consistency across all project documentation.
- Coordinate BIM models to ensure accuracy and clash-free designs in collaboration with project engineers and architects.
- Apply expertise in structural and precast concrete modeling to enhance design and detailing throughout project phases.
- Maintain a proactive and solution-oriented approach to resolve technical issues and support timely project delivery.
- Manage workload effectively to meet deadlines and consistently produce high-quality outputs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contributing positively to group dynamics and workflow efficiency.
- Continuously update skills related to CAD drafting and BIM modeling technologies and industry best practices.
- Participate in technical assessments to validate knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in relevant design tools and methodologies.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in structural CAD drafting and BIM modeling, preferably with precast concrete projects.
- Strong experience in structural rebar detailing and preparation of Bar Bending Schedules.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating detailed structural drawings.
- Advanced knowledge of BIM modeling using Revit, with experience in structural or precast concrete modeling and detailing.
- Strong working knowledge of Tekla Structures for 3D modeling and detailed drawing generation.
- Ability to understand and coordinate structural drawings and BIM models independently.
- Proactive, solution-oriented, reliable, and well-organized with strong interpersonal skills.
