AusPak International, one of Pakistan’s largest educational consulting firms, is seeking a dedicated Student Counselor to join its Faisalabad office. Established in 1995, the company is uniquely licensed to use the “Future Unlimited” brand of AusTrade, an Australian Government entity, and represents over 40 Australian universities. The Student Counselor will play a crucial role in guiding Pakistani students and their families through the entire study abroad process, from selecting programs and universities to completing applications and understanding visa requirements. This full-time, on-site position involves direct interaction with prospective students, ensuring they receive personalized support and accurate information to make informed decisions about their international education journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students and their families to discuss study options in Australia, including program selection and university choices.
- Explain admission criteria, visa requirements, and application procedures clearly and effectively.
- Review and verify student documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Assist candidates in completing application forms accurately and within deadlines.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of partner universities’ programs, admission policies, and changes in visa regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders, including universities and visa offices, to facilitate smooth processing of applications.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to inquiries and building trust-based relationships with students and families.
- Keep detailed records of all student interactions and counseling sessions for follow-up and reporting purposes.
- Support outreach initiatives such as organizing information sessions, conducting follow-up calls, and managing email communications to enhance student engagement and awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in student counseling or career counseling, with the ability to advise learners on educational pathways and career prospects.
- Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English and Urdu, enabling effective interaction with students, families, and institutional partners.
- Excellent customer service skills to manage inquiries, provide timely support, and foster positive client relationships.
- Solid understanding of education systems, preferably with knowledge of Australian higher education and admission processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or a related discipline. Counseling certifications are considered an advantage.
- Ability to work efficiently in a structured office environment, handle multiple cases simultaneously, and maintain accurate records.
- Proficiency in office software such as MS Office, email platforms, and student database management systems. Comfort with online communication tools is essential.
