Edversity is seeking a well-connected Student Placement Specialist to lead the full placement cycle for our students, securing jobs and internships with reputable employers. This role requires ownership of building and maintaining strong employer relationships, sourcing relevant openings, matching candidates, preparing them for interviews, and successfully closing placements. The position demands an existing network of HR and hiring contacts across leading companies from day one, with a primary focus on driving student placements.
Key Responsibilities
Employer Partnerships:
Develop and expand a robust pipeline of hiring partners across sectors such as IT, telecom, banking, FMCG, consulting, and others. Leverage your existing industry contacts to quickly open placement opportunities. Actively pitch Edversity’s talent pool to HR heads and hiring managers, negotiating placement agreements or Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). Maintain consistent communication with partners to encourage repeat hiring and long-term collaboration.
Placement Drives:
Identify and source job and internship openings, matching them with suitable candidates. Coordinate the entire placement process including shortlisting, interview scheduling, and offer follow-ups with employers to ensure smooth candidate progression.
Candidate Readiness:
Evaluate candidate profiles to identify gaps in employability. Conduct or arrange CV reviews, mock interviews, and workplace readiness sessions to prepare candidates effectively. Collect and relay employer feedback to candidates and the training team to enhance future readiness and placement success.
Tracking and Reporting:
Maintain an up-to-date database of employers, job openings, candidates, and placement outcomes. Provide monthly reports on placements, partner pipeline status, and employer feedback. Monitor post-placement retention and satisfaction levels for both candidates and employers to ensure long-term success.
Required Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Marketing, or a related field is required, with a master’s degree considered an advantage. Candidates should have 2 to 5 years of experience in placement, corporate relations, talent acquisition, recruitment, or business development. Experience working with more than one well-known organization—such as reputable corporates, recruitment firms, or university placement offices—is essential.
A strong, verifiable network of HR managers, talent acquisition leads, and hiring managers primarily in Islamabad/Rawalpindi is mandatory, while contacts in Lahore and Karachi are highly desirable. Proven success in closing placements or hires, supported by quantifiable results, is critical. The role also requires willingness to travel locally for employer meetings and placement drives.
Skills and Competencies
Strong relationship-building and corporate networking skills are essential, along with persuasive communication and negotiation abilities in both English and Urdu. A solid understanding of hiring processes and employer expectations for entry-level talent is important. Experience coordinating events and placement drives involving multiple stakeholders is required.
Candidates should demonstrate a target-driven, self-starting approach with excellent follow-through. Proficiency in MS Office or Google Workspace is expected, and familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, job portals, or CRM/ATS systems is a plus. A professional presence and the confidence to represent Edversity to senior HR leaders is necessary to succeed in this role.
This position offers the opportunity to work closely with leading employers and make a significant impact on student career outcomes through strategic placement initiatives.
