Assistant to GM Operations (Factory)

Responsibilities
- Check incoming raw materials and accurately record delivery weights to ensure proper tracking and inventory control.
- Supervise the safe and efficient loading and unloading of transport trucks to facilitate timely movement of materials and finished goods.
- Maintain and update daily inventory counts within the computer system to ensure accuracy and availability of materials.
- Support the production team by identifying and helping resolve daily workflow issues to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency.
- Promote and enforce plant safety rules, ensuring all activities comply with safety regulations and standards.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to foster a safe and productive manufacturing environment.
- Assist in coordinating production schedules in cooperation with the production team and plant management.
- Monitor inventory levels and alert management to potential shortages or surpluses.
- Collaborate with logistics and supply chain personnel to optimize material handling and transport operations.
- Analyze operational challenges and suggest improvements or adjustments to processes when required.
- Support audits and inspections by providing accurate records and facilitating compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate regularly with the General Manager to report on operational status and issues.
- Assist in training and orienting new staff members regarding plant safety and operational procedures where applicable.
