The Supervisor, Housekeeping plays a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene standards within a hospital setting. This position ensures that the environment remains safe, sanitary, and comfortable for patients, staff, and visitors alike. The supervisor oversees daily operations of the housekeeping department, coordinating tasks and monitoring staff performance to uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and infection control. Key Responsibilities

- Oversee and manage the daily activities of the housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations throughout the hospital.
- Maintain strict adherence to hygiene and safety protocols to provide a safe environment for patients, visitors, and hospital personnel.
- Conduct regular inspections of all hospital areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met.
- Coordinate with other hospital departments to schedule cleaning activities without disrupting patient care.
- Train, supervise, and motivate housekeeping staff to enhance their performance and maintain high morale.
- Manage inventory and procurement of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring availability and proper use.
- Address and resolve any housekeeping-related issues or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, including infection control and waste management procedures.
- Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, staff performance, and any incidents or challenges encountered.
- Promote a culture of safety, respect, and professionalism within the housekeeping team.

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably within a healthcare or hospital environment.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, hygiene standards, and infection control practices relevant to healthcare settings.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with staff, patients, and other hospital departments.
- Good organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance requirements in a hospital context.
