Savvital is seeking a highly analytical Supply Chain Forecasting & Data Analyst to support its expanding supply chain and distribution operations. This hands-on role involves transforming historical sales and order data into accurate demand forecasts, inventory insights, and actionable business recommendations. The ideal candidate will work extensively with large transactional datasets, cleaning and validating data, identifying demand patterns, building forecasting models, and communicating findings clearly to business stakeholders. This position requires someone who can independently develop reliable models from raw, imperfect data rather than performing basic data entry or routine reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze historical sales and order data to identify demand patterns and purchasing behaviors at SKU and customer levels.
- Develop rolling 12 to 18-month demand forecasts using historical trends and analyze year-over-year growth.
- Identify various demand patterns such as seasonal, sporadic, declining, and growing, while accounting for product categories and units of measure.
- Build scalable forecasting and inventory models using advanced Microsoft Excel functions including PivotTables, XLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, and SUMIFS.
- Create recommendation logic to guide stocking decisions, including increasing, maintaining, or reducing inventory levels.
- Extract, clean, and validate large datasets from ERP and other business systems, addressing inconsistencies and data-quality issues.
- Provide inventory and supply chain insights by analyzing demand trends to support replenishment and stocking decisions.
- Develop clear, concise reports that translate complex data into practical business recommendations understandable by non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with business and supply chain teams, taking ownership of projects from raw data through to final recommendations.
- Adapt forecasting methodologies as business needs and data patterns evolve, communicating progress and challenges effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain analytics, demand planning, forecasting, inventory planning, or a related analytical field.
- Proven hands-on experience with demand forecasting and supply planning.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data cleaning, and transformation techniques.
- Experience working with large datasets extracted from ERP systems.
- Strong analytical reasoning, problem-solving skills, and ability to work independently with incomplete or imperfect data.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining technical analysis to non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of SKU-level demand and inventory management concepts.
- Ability to build forecasting models from raw transactional data rather than maintaining existing reports.
Preferred Qualifications and Benefits
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, Power BI, inventory optimization, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), manufacturing, wholesale or distribution, and customer-level forecasting is advantageous. Familiarity with exception and anomaly reporting, inventory replenishment models, and customer-facing demand reporting is also beneficial.
Compensation includes a market-competitive base salary based on experience, premium internet, electricity, and wellbeing allowances, comprehensive medical insurance, annual performance-based increments, structured career progression, and individual and team-based bonuses.
Savvital values its employees and fosters a culture that appreciates the unique skills and experiences each individual brings. Candidates with proven experience in building forecasting models, working with ERP-generated sales data, and delivering actionable inventory recommendations are encouraged to apply.
