Surun Services Pty Ltd seeks a skilled Planning Engineer with a minimum of four years of experience to join our team in Islamabad. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in project scheduling, cost control, and the critical path method, utilizing tools such as Microsoft Project to optimize project timelines and budgets. This role requires availability in the early morning hours between 5 and 8 AM initially, with the potential for conversion to full-time employment based on performance. The Planning Engineer plays a pivotal role in coordinating project activities and ensuring that all phases meet their deadlines efficiently without direct team management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project schedules using Microsoft Project, integrating all phases of the project lifecycle to ensure timely completion.
- Monitor and control project costs by applying cost control techniques to keep expenses within approved budgets.
- Analyze project plans using the critical path method to identify potential delays and develop mitigation strategies to maintain schedule integrity.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to gather accurate data and update schedules regularly.
- Prepare and present progress reports highlighting schedule status, milestones achieved, and any deviations from the plan to senior management.
- Identify resource requirements and coordinate with procurement to ensure availability of necessary materials and equipment for timely project execution.
- Assist in risk assessment by evaluating scheduling risks and proposing measures to minimize their impact on project delivery.
- Maintain accurate and organized project documentation pertaining to scheduling and cost control activities.
- Continuously improve scheduling techniques and procedures to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure strict adherence to company standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines throughout project planning and execution.
