Body Shop Manager

Suzuki Multan City Motors is seeking a skilled Body Shop Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our automotive body shop. This role requires a highly organized professional with a strong background in automotive refinishing, denting, painting, and vehicle repair. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of experience managing body shop operations, including supervising a team of approximately 20 technicians and workshop staff. The successful candidate will ensure the highest standards of repair quality while maintaining efficient workflow and timely job completion. The Body Shop Manager will be responsible for coordinating insurance claims processing, vehicle damage assessment, and repair estimation to deliver excellent customer service and satisfaction. Expertise in paint preparation, color matching, and refinishing techniques is essential. This position demands strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills to manage workshop productivity, oversee safety procedures, and optimize the use of body shop tools and equipment. Experience working in automotive dealerships or body shops and proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems will support effective management of repair timelines and job cards.
Responsibilities

Supervise and manage a team of 20 technicians and workshop personnel to ensure efficient body shop operations.
Oversee vehicle damage assessment and repair estimation processes to provide accurate and timely quotations.
Coordinate and manage automotive refinishing, denting, painting, and repair tasks to maintain high-quality standards.
Handle insurance claims processing in collaboration with customers and insurance companies to facilitate smooth repair approvals.
Maintain detailed job cards, repair timelines, and workshop productivity reports to optimize workflow and resource utilization.
Ensure proper use, maintenance, and safety of body shop tools, equipment, and facilities according to industry standards.
Implement and monitor adherence to safety procedures and regulatory requirements within the workshop.
Manage paint preparation and color matching processes to achieve superior finish quality on repaired vehicles.
Communicate effectively with customers to explain repair procedures, timelines, and address any concerns or issues.
Provide technical guidance and training to workshop staff to enhance skills and improve operational efficiency.
Collaborate with dealership management to align body shop activities with overall business objectives and customer satisfaction goals.
Investigate and resolve problems related to repair quality, workflow bottlenecks, and customer complaints.
Use MS Office and relevant ERP systems to document repairs, track inventory, and generate reports for management review.
Ensure timely delivery of repaired vehicles while maintaining strict quality control standards.
Keep up to date with industry advancements, materials, and techniques related to automotive body repairs and refinishing.
