A well reputed organization is looking for a GIS and Remote Sensing Specialist who has the following demonstrated skills and competencies in the field of Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing.
Strong knowledge of Python language and its built-in libraries.
Strong understanding of popular DBMS like MySQL, Oracle, SQSERVER or PostgreSQL.
Should be able to acquire, manage, process, and analyze data obtained from remote sensing systems (particularly satellite imagery) for land use / land cover applications.
Should understand supervised and unsupervised learning and deep learning methods
Should have sound knowledge and usage experience of RS/GIS tools like ArcGIS, ENVI, Python
Should have experience of RS/GIS tools and techniques used in agriculture and forestry analysis.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work in a team.
Good communication skills.
Aspirant for this position will perform the following duties;
· Problem Framing , collecting raw data, Information retrieval and text mining.
· Process the data using Python language, Data wrangling and cleaning.
· Exploring data using numpy, matplotlib, scipy and padas libraries.
· Translate business needs to technical specifications.
· Perform in-depth analysis using supervised and unsupervised algorithms of machine learning.
· Visualization of data using tools like Tablue, Google Datastudio, Python: matplotlib, ggplot, seaborn etc.
· Extract Transform and Load (ETL) development
· Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting
· Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
· Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses
· Create visualizations and reports for requested projects
· Any task as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education: BS or MS in RS/GIS, Geoinformatics, Geomatics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or any other relevant degree. Freelancers, who can show relevant work experience, would also be considered.
Work Experience: At least 03 years of relevant hands- on experience in a public or private sector organization.
Certificates : Environmental Systems Research Institute (ESRI) Certified will be given preference.
