System Admin IT

We are seeking a skilled System Administrator with a minimum of three years of experience who is proficient in core system administration principles and has hands-on expertise managing Linux, Windows Server environments, and virtualization technologies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both physical and virtual infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, implement, maintain, and manage new physical and virtual infrastructure environments.
- Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of Linux-based computer systems, network servers, and virtual machines.
- Manage internal infrastructure components including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, and security updates, supporting internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and various network segments.
- Install and upgrade computer hardware components and software, including managing virtual servers.
- Provide detailed documentation and technical specifications to IT teams to support planning and implementation of new or upgraded IT infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members to architect scalable, secure, and enterprise-level services.
- Work cross-functionally with software engineers and DevOps engineers to ensure seamless integration and deployment of services.
- Handle network configuration tasks and miscellaneous administrative duties such as firewall maintenance, VPN setup, and installation of third-party software.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of three years of hands-on, in-depth system administration experience.
- Strong understanding of database setup and administration.
- Experience managing IIS and HTTPD web servers.
- Proficient in SSL configuration and deployment on IIS and HTTPD platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and DNS management.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Exchange Server 2016 or later versions.
- Working knowledge of firewalls and load balancers.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Ability to work independently with a keen attention to detail.
- Experience supporting on-call activities as required.

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in Systems Administration or Systems Engineering with a focus on Linux.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
