Systems Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our team, ideal for a Systems Administrator or Engineer eager to enhance their skills in cloud architecture, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure. The successful candidate will engage with Microsoft 365, Azure, cybersecurity solutions, and modern infrastructure technologies. This role involves taking ownership of technical projects, supporting client environments, and delivering dependable IT solutions. It offers an excellent opportunity for a technically driven professional to assume greater responsibility, work on complex infrastructure projects, and deepen expertise in cloud and security technologies.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, deploy, and support Microsoft 365 and Azure environments.
- Lead infrastructure, migration, and modernization projects.
- Implement cybersecurity best practices and security controls.
- Support Microsoft Intune, Azure Entra ID, and Microsoft Defender.
- Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and networking issues.
- Participate in security assessments and remediation efforts.
- Work directly with clients to understand requirements and implement technology solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and serve as an escalation resource.
- Create and maintain technical documentation.
- Identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure and internal processes.

Required Qualifications

- Minimum of 4 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or systems engineering.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
- Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, and switching.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to quickly learn and work with new customer applications and technologies.
- Effective time management skills to handle priorities and meet project deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure.
- Experience with Microsoft Intune and endpoint management.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Defender and other security solutions.
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
- Relevant technical certifications such as Security+, AZ-104, AZ-500, or equivalent.
