- Manage day-to-day network operations across the campus.
- Install, configure, and maintain switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi controllers, and access points.
- Monitor network health using NMS tools (PRTG/Solar Winds) and resolve alerts proactively.
- Troubleshoot wired and wireless connectivity issues including authentication, coverage, bandwidth, and device onboarding.
- Maintain and update network documentation including IP schemes, diagrams, configurations, and incident logs.
- Implement network security practices (ACLs, firewall rules, VLAN segmentation, and Wi-Fi security).
- Maintain passive network infrastructure such as cabling, patch panels, and fiber links.
- Provide technical support for events, seminars, and video conferencing setups.
- Assist with inventory management of network devices, accessories, and tools.
- Perform other network-related tasks as needed.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with Wi-Fi technologies (controllers, APs, SSIDs, RADIUS, wireless troubleshooting).
- Good understanding of routing and switching concepts (VLANs, STP, DHCP, DNS, trucking).
- Working knowledge of firewalls, VPN concepts, and network security best practices.
- Familiarity with NMS tools like PRTG or Solar Winds for monitoring and fault resolution.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for both wired and wireless networks.
- Good communication and user support skills.
- Ability to handle field tasks and on-site technical issues effectively.
