As a Sales Associate at Tadabbur Books, you will be the friendly face that greets our customers and guides them through their literary journey. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service by assisting customers with inquiries, recommendations and purchases.

  • Maintaining a tidy and inviting store environment by organizing shelves, displays and merchandise.

  • Tag products with appropriate barcode labels and ensure pricing is clearly visible to customers.

  • Processing transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.

  • Promoting memberships and promotions to enhance customer engagement and sales.

  • Maintain accounting records of sales, purchases and daily expenses accurately and efficiently using accounting software.

  • Process purchase orders accurately and efficiently using inventory management software.

  • Staying knowledgeable about our inventory, including new releases, bestsellers and staff picks.

  • Uploading product catalog to our e-commerce platform.

  • Receive and process customer orders through our e-commerce platform.

  • Ensure accurate picking, packing, and labeling of online orders.

  • Schedule shipments and arrange for timely delivery through various shipping carriers.

  • Monitor order status and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.

  • Address any order discrepancies or issues promptly and efficiently.

  • Communicate with customers regarding order status, shipping updates and delivery inquiries.

  • Collaborate with customer service of shipping carriers to resolve any customer concerns or complaints related to order fulfillment.

Requirements:

  • Passion for literature and a love of books.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Previous retail or customer service experience of minimum 2 years preferred.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

  • Tech Savvy

  • Bachelors degree
