· Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance warehouse operations.
· Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
· Initiate, coordinate and enforce optimal warehouse operational policies and procedures.
· Provide a safe working environment, adhering to Health, Safety and Environmental procedures and ensuring they are understood and practiced by the team at all times.
· Manage stock control and reconcile with system.
· Perform market research and assist staff in locating qualified vendors.
· Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies for effective business relationship.
· Conduct physical stock taking and verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, investigate discrepancies and take appropriate required actions accordingly.
· Examine and inspect stock items for defects, keep records on the use and/or damage of stock.
· Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock.
· Supervise and ensure that stock items are marked properly using identification tags, stickers, or other labeling equipment.
· Prepare reports and statistics regularly on the basis of FIFO.
· Achieves financial objectives by preparing budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
· Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
· Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees.
· Perform other duties as and when required by the Management.
