We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax & Compliance Executive with practical experience in Pakistani taxation and local statutory compliance. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on knowledge of Pakistan’s tax laws, including familiarity with FBR processes, IRIS, withholding tax, sales tax, and other regulatory requirements. This role demands a proactive individual capable of managing tax filings, compliance documentation, and coordination with relevant government authorities to ensure adherence to all statutory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Personal and Corporate Income Tax Returns in compliance with Pakistani tax regulations.
- Manage FBR-related matters, including Income Tax, Sales Tax, Withholding Tax, and responding to tax notices.
- Conduct monthly and annual tax reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Ensure timely submission of tax returns, statutory returns, and other compliance documentation.
- Liaise with FBR and other government bodies on taxation and compliance issues.
- Assist with tax planning, maintain tax documentation, and uphold proper compliance records.
- Maintain accurate tax and statutory records for internal use and audit purposes.
- Support both internal and external audits by providing necessary tax documentation and information.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, ACCA, CA (Part Qualified), ICMA, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in Pakistani taxation and tax compliance.
- Strong practical knowledge of Pakistan’s tax laws and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in using FBR IRIS for tax filings and related processes.
- Solid understanding of Income Tax, Sales Tax, and Withholding Tax within Pakistan.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation abilities.
- Candidates must have direct experience with Pakistani/local taxation; those with only general accounting, international taxation, or non-Pakistani tax experience will not be considered.
Preferred Qualifications and Additional Experience
- Experience with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA) compliance.
- Familiarity with EOBI and PESSI/Social Security regulations.
- Knowledge of SECP compliance requirements.
- Exposure to payroll taxation and withholding tax processes.
- Proven ability to handle FBR notices and tax-related correspondence effectively.
Compensation and Work Location
The position offers a monthly salary ranging from Rs50,000 to Rs60,000. This role requires in-person attendance at the designated work location.
