We are seeking a detail-oriented Tax Compliance Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting various tax-related functions, including preparation and filing of Sales Tax and VAT returns, managing withholding tax processes, and ensuring accurate tax reconciliation. This role requires close coordination with internal departments and external clients to maintain compliance with tax regulations and support timely recovery and documentation efforts. The position is based on-site and offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on regulatory adherence and financial accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Tax Compliance:
Support the preparation and filing of Sales Tax and VAT returns. Maintain comprehensive tax records and ensure all documentation is audit-ready. Manage proper documentation related to notice responses from tax authorities.
Withholding Tax (Income Tax & Sales Tax Management):
Verify withholding tax deductions in accordance with applicable provisions. Reconcile withholding tax amounts with accounting records to ensure accuracy. Prepare withholding tax certificates for vendors and service providers. Assist in the preparation of withholding tax statements and other tax reports as required by the company.
Tax Reconciliation:
Assist in reconciling tax ledgers with records available on the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) IRIS portal to ensure consistency and compliance.
Coordination:
Collaborate with internal departments such as Finance and Accounts on tax-related matters. Manage the Tax Receivable sheet and coordinate with clients to facilitate timely recovery and reconciliation of withholding tax deductions. Perform additional taxation-related tasks as assigned by the Tax Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in taxation or accounting.
- Proven experience handling Income Tax and Sales Tax compliance.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with FBR IRIS and other tax portals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Work Location:
